Mailing-list data

When you request a subscription, Hara World records your email address, selected interests, the time and version of your consent, subscription state, and identifiers needed to reconcile that state with the delivery provider.

Hara World does not retain your raw IP address or full browser user-agent in its Neon database. The email delivery provider may receive and retain an IP address under its own policy for fraud and spam checks when that option is enabled.

Confirmation and delivery

Buttondown performs double opt-in confirmation and email delivery. A request remains pending until the address owner confirms it. Buttondown also provides the unsubscribe and subscription-management paths included in email.

Lifecycle and retention

Unsubscription, suppression, and deletion events are retained as minimal lifecycle records so Hara World can prevent accidental re-mailing and demonstrate that an opt-out was honoured. Provider webhook payloads are reduced before storage; tracking history and raw provider records are not copied into Neon.

Publication data

Submitted articles, source permissions, attribution, corrections, and canonical links are public editorial records when accepted. Submission discussions may also remain visible in the GitHub repository.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe through any edition or use the provider's subscriber portal. For correction, access, or deletion requests, contact the Hara World maintainers through the repository organisation's published contact path.
